PCI College Lecturers

Jean Notaro

BSc (Hons) Counselling & Psych MIACP.  Professional Certificate in CBT.
Jean works as a core tutor with PCI College and is also a tutor on the PCI Foundation Course.  She is in private practice at The Dodsboro Clinic in Lucan, a busy GP surgery and clinic. Jean is an Advanced Level Accredited Schema Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor.

Eilish McGuinness

BSc. (Hons.) Couns./Psych., MIACP


Eilish is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Therapy (IACP), and the International Society of Schema Therapists (ISST).  Eilish was one of the first in Ireland to train as an Advanced Accredited Schema Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. Eilish runs a busy private practice in Ashbourne, Co. Meath working from an integrative model; but, specifically using Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.   


Clare Burke

BSc Couns Psych; Cert Child/Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy; MIACP
Clare works as a counsellor, supervisor and PCI College lecturer. Clare joined PCI College in 2008 and lectures on the sexuality, counselling skills and pastoral /spiritual counselling modules. Clare maintains a private practice in counselling and supervision. Clare’s approach to counselling and supervision incorporates spiritual and person-centred perspectives. 

Tom Ryan



Tom is a psychotherapist in Cork City. He works for Aspect, a service that supports adults with A.S., and also in private practice. Tom teaches with PCI College. He has a particular interest in psychoanalysis and is a member of ICLO, the Irish Circle of the Lacanian Orientation.

Teresa Graham



Teresa is delighted to be a humanist celebrant. She has has been an enthusiastic humanist for many years now and love to have the opportunity to help make ceremonies more meaningful, memorable and enjoyable for the participants.


Albert Osthoff

PsychD, Dip Psych, BA (Hons)

Albert has trained in a variety of therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), person-centred therapy and psychodynamic therapies, to suit either shorter- or longer-term work. As well as EMDR therapy and mindfulness. 

Bronagh Webb

Psychology, BA Hons; Cert. Person Centred Counselling; Dip. Pastoral Ministry Training (Association of Christian Counsellors); Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy.

As well as working one to one with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, Bronagh has experience Lecturing in Psychology and Counselling across different therapeutic approaches and Organisations. I am an approved tutor for the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body.

Anne Marie Toole 


Anne Marie is an IACP accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor. She has specialised training in the areas of Attachment and Psychosexual therapy. She works with adults and young people and practices in accordance with the guidelines and Code of Ethics of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.


David McPhillips 

PhD, MSc

David McPhillips has worked with adolescent substance misusers and has previously worked with long term unemployed as well as working as a trainer for a number of years. David is a qualified ACRA trainer, holds a PhD from the University of Limerick and an MSc from Trinity College in Drug and Alcohol Policy. David’s interests lie in the area of addiction and recovery, engagement and creative interventions. 

Amy Plant 

BA Dip Counselling and Psychotherapy

Amy is a qualified psychotherapist practising in Dublin City Centre. She holds an Honours Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from The Institute of Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (IICP). Amy is also a fully accredited member of The Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP)


Graham Gill-Emerson

MIACP, MSc. Psych, BA Ed, Dip. Couns & Psych, Dip. Addiction Couns, Dip. Business

Graham has worked with both adults and adolescents across private practice, voluntary and statutory sectors. With interests in the areas of trauma, addiction recovery and research, Graham has been published both in the Irish Journal of Counselling & Psychotherapy and within Eolas. He holds qualifications in counselling, psychotherapy and education from Dublin City University, PCI College, University College Dublin and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. As an accredited therapist with IACP and a trainer in Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), he currently works in Cork as an addiction counsellor within a specialist multi-disciplinary team in-reaching into homeless settings and as a DBT therapist within mental health. Graham has a keen interest in the therapeutic utilisation of technology and experience in online therapy both with individuals and with groups.
